HIVE is a hub of sexual and reproductive health. Since 1989, HIVE has provided preconception and prenatal care to women and couples affected by HIV.

Since 2004, all babies born in San Francisco have been free of HIV. We share lessons learned via our website for providers and people living with and affected by HIV across the U.S via our website, HIVEonline.org.

This year, the UCSF HIVE team is proud to walk in the 40th annual AIDS Walk San Francisco

As an OB/GYN clinic grounded in reproductive justice values, it’s important for us to show up for our community — especially mothers, birthing people, children, and families affected by HIV. Through holistic preconception and prenatal care, we support families with dignity, compassion, and culturally responsive care every step of the way.

This fundraiser helps support our general operations costs and sustains one of the few programs centered on the needs of whole families impacted by HIV.

HIVE is thrilled to share a recent publication, "Navigating guidelines and realities: informed free choice in infant feeding for people living with HIV" in collaboration with Monica Hahn, Laura Cox, and Cici Covin.

In this article, the authors propose the Informed Free Choice model, a reproductive justice informed framework, that moves beyond conventional shared decision-making to explicitly address structural inequities, power dynamics, and the lived realities of families affected by HIV.

Today, we honor National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day ♥️

We honor the voices, leadership, and resilience of women and girls affected by HIV. At HIVE Clinic, we believe every person deserves sex-positive, stigma-free care and the full power of reproductive autonomy - to decide if, when, and how to build the lives and families they dream of. Raising awareness means centering their voices and standing with them in the fight for reproductive justice and health equity.
