Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly (LBFE) is a non-profit organization that provides friendship and companionship to isolated and lonely elders.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to hugstoelders for putting together thoughtful care packages for our older adults!

Thanks to their kindness and generosity, we’ll be able to share some extra Halloween cheer during our upcoming in-home visits on October 31st! These special goodies are sure to bring smiles and make our visits even more meaningful!

We’re so grateful for community partners like Hugs to Elders who help us spread joy, kindness, and connection to older adults throughout San Francisco!

Today is International Day of Older Persons! 💙🌎

This year’s theme, “The Age of Longevity: Rethinking Systems for Longer Lives,” invites us to think about how our communities can better support people as we live longer lives.

At LBFE, we believe longevity should be about more than adding years to life. It should also mean having opportunities for friendship, belonging, purpose, and meaningful connection at every age.

Every visit, phone call, shared meal, walk, and friendship helps build a community where older adults remain connected and included.

Today, we celebrate the older adults who enrich our communities every day and recommit ourselves to creating a future where longer lives are also connected lives! 💛
