As we celebrate Independence Day, all of us at Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly wish you a safe, joyful, and meaningful holiday.

Please note that our office will be closed on Friday, July 3 and will reopen on Monday, July 6th.

The Fourth of July is a time to celebrate the ideals that unite us and to reflect on our shared responsibility to care for one another. As Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey wisely said:
“The moral test of government is how that government treats those who are in the dawn of life, the children; those who are in the twilight of life, the elderly; and those who are in the shadows of life, the sick, the needy, and the handicapped.”
At LBFE, we believe every older adult deserves friendship, dignity, and belonging. This holiday—and every day—we are grateful for the volunteers, donors, and community members who help ensure that no older adult feels forgotten or alone.

From all of us at LBFE, thank you for helping build a more compassionate and connected community. We wish you and your loved ones a happy, safe, and meaningful Fourth of July! 🇺🇸❤️

Our volunteers embody this spirit every day. Through simple acts of friendship and compassion, they are helping reduce loneliness among older adults and inspiring others to get involved.
Thank you to the incredible volunteers who make LBFE’s mission possible. Together, we’re building a community where no older adult feels forgotten.

🚨 The budget process isn’t over, and there is still time to act! 🚨

Join older adults, people with disabilities, advocates, and community members as we urge our city leaders to have a heart, use their brains, and show some courage by restoring the proposed cuts to senior and disability services.
