We'd love for you to meet Fiona! Fiona joined Juma the summer after high school, just as she was navigating a tricky financial aid situation. Today, she's a UC Berkeley sophomore, a Juma Lead, a public speaker, and she's spending this summer studying abroad in Brazil. From serving lattes and boba at Oracle Park to delivering speeches at Juma events, Fiona's growth has been nothing short of inspiring. Last week's JumaDay with Liberty Mutual Insurance was absolutely amazing! 🎉

10 dedicated volunteers — 8 of whom have joined us before — came together to make it happen, with some traveling over an hour just to be there. Liberty Mutual has been a JumaDay partner for nearly a decade (they even did one at the Oakland Coliseum!), and they never disappoint.

Together, we hit $12,000 in total sales, including $7,000 in Dippin' Dots (650 units!) and $2,500 in Peet's Coffee. Most importantly, our youth walked away with $7,000 in wages earned.

That's the power of partnership. Thank you, Liberty Mutual, for continuing to invest in our young people. đź’™

We had a blast at Pave The Way in San Jose last night! The raffle was a huge hit and some lucky guests went home with incredible packages including a weekend getaway in Paso Robles, a date night at the symphony, and even a signed NHL hockey puck! Yesterday was Sacramento’s Big Day of Giving and our fundraiser was a huge success! Thanks to the support of our donors and community, we were able to raise over $4,000 including more than $3,000 in just 24 hours!

Thank you to everybody who supported the campaign by donating, forwarding emails, posting on social media, and spreading the word about Juma Ventures. These funds will help us provide even more young people with the resources and support they need to build successful career pathways.

Today is Sacramento’s Big Day of Giving — and we need your help to reach our goal!

At Juma Ventures, we believe every young person deserves a real shot at success. The youth we serve face significant barriers and don't have the luxury of choosing between school and work. We walk with them every step of the way, helping them navigate both so they can build the foundation for a successful future.

We're working to raise $5,000 by midnight tonight and every gift brings us closer. Your donation makes a direct, tangible difference:

đź“ť $50 provides professional development workshops for Juma youth
🎓 $100 supports salaries for staff working on the CONNECT program
🤝 $250 matches one youth with a Juma mentor to help grow their network
🧑‍💻 $500 funds a stipend for a youth to complete our leadership program
