Care Association Working on innovative solutions for creating truly affordable housing and supporting mental health.

Care Association plans, develops, and implements innovative strategies to alleviate economic burdens on lower- and middle-income households. We serve households in the United States that pay more than 30% of their gross income on housing or are transient because of lack of affordable housing. Our projects include housing development, homeless services, and mental health support.

Thanksgiving is hard for too many people this year. We were able to buy food for 5 Thanksgiving dinners feeding 6-8 people each box. Last year we boxed for 4 households.

Adapted April and Eric Perry's system after watching the complimentary video. Here is my planning center. Hmm, "fix motorcycle" is not on my list yet. Shame on me.

I've had a passion for building shelter for the houseless since the early 1990s. The first image is a page from my undergraduate thesis. Image 2 is the prototype of image 1, which I started building on my college campus. Image 3 is the sign posted on the prototype. At that time, a "welfare hotel" was temporary housing in hotels in New York City which cost thousands of dollars a month per family.
