Tides proudly stands with over 100 foundations to condemn political violence and defend our fundamental freedoms. The recent tragic murders of Charlie Kirk and Speaker Emeritus Melissa Hortman are devastating reminders that acts of hate have no place in our democracy. Our hearts go out to the families affected.

Democracy depends on the freedom to express, speak, and give without fear. We must unite across divides and champion leadership that brings communities together. At Tides, we remain committed to healing, supporting, and empowering people across all backgrounds—defending the freedom to speak and give for all.

Cyndi Lauper's Girls Just Want To Have Fundamental Rights fund at Tides Foundation has announced their second round of grants, with $152,500 going to support organizations that address issues impacting the lives of women and girls around the world, including:
