SSS Corsair

SSS Corsair SSS Corsair is a sailing program for high school boys. We sail a traditional wooden whaleboat most Saturdays throughout the year. Donations are always welcome.

Our crew also operates and maintains several other traditional watercraft, including a Monterey Clipper. Our program is open to all boys ages 14 (or graduated grammar school) through 20. Membership costs $60 semi-annually.

2025 has been a great year of sailing, racing, rowing, going to regattas, doing advancement, and going on overnight trips this year. We are proud to offer our leadership and sailing program to over 100 scouts across the city but could use your assistance meeting our matching campaign goal! Visit https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/stfyc-foundation-matching to learn more and please consider supporting our programs before year-end, so we can access matching funds. 🫶

In honor of Giving Tuesday, please consider donating and/or sharing this post to help us access $25,000 in matching funds so we can replace Corsair’s keel and get one of our two primary sailing vessels back on the water again!

Some light-wind sailing days at the beginning of summer cruise, in close company with plus our annual capsize drill at Power Squadron Island! Our capsize drill helps us stay ready for real emergency situations and is a great way for us to scrub our boat ⛵️
