🤟 Free Summer ASL Classes! Help Us Build a More Accessible Community 🤟
A growing number of Deaf immigrants, asylum seekers, and community members are coming into contact with local support networks, schools, and organizations. In stressful situations, even knowing a few basic signs can make a massive, meaningful difference.
Through our partners at the American Society for Deaf Children, free online ASL classes are available this summer! Whether you are a parent, educator, volunteer, or community advocate, these Deaf-led, family-friendly classes are open to everyone and are voiced in both English and Spanish.
📅 Beginner ASL Class
When: Mondays, 7:00–8:30 PM Eastern (Started June 22)
Topics: Introductions, describing yourself, places, animals, and hobbies.
📅 Intermediate ASL Class
When: Thursdays, 7:00–8:30 PM Eastern (Started June 25)
Topics: Shopping, transportation, weather, opinions, and everyday conversations.
If you work with community members, families, or legal and rapid response teams who may encounter Deaf individuals, we highly encourage you to join and build these vital communication skills.
