Hamilton Families is San Francisco’s leading service provider to families experiencing homelessness, with carefully designed programs to prevent homelessness, provide shelter and stability, return families to permanent housing, and support the well-being of children experiencing homelessness.

One week later, and we're still feeling the extraordinary power of our community.

More than 40 years ago, this organization was founded on a simple belief that when a community comes together, we can change the lives of families facing homelessness.

Last Thursday, hundreds of compassionate individuals, community leaders, corporate partners, and longtime supporters came together for our Annual Benefit, united by that continued shared commitment.

Together, we raised a record-breaking $926,000 to fuel this critical work. But what made the evening truly extraordinary wasn't just the amount raised. It was the collective generosity, compassion, and determination of a community that refuses to accept family homelessness as inevitable, and a community that refuses to give up.

To everyone who has been part of this journey, thank you. Your belief in our mission makes everything possible.

And to those who are just discovering Hamilton Families, there's a place for you in this community, too.

Behind every successful event is an incredible team of people who make it all possible!

This year's Hamilton Families Annual Benefit was our most successful yet, and we couldn't have done it without the amazing volunteers who generously gave their time, energy, and talents to bring this special evening to life.

From setting up the venue to welcoming guests and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes, our volunteers played an essential role in making the night unforgettable.

A day at the beach. A lifetime of memories! 🌊☀️🧡

This past Monday, in celebration of Indigenous Peoples’ Day, our Children’s Services and Executive Teams took students from our Shelter and Transitional Housing programs on a special field trip to Sunset Dunes at San Francisco’s Ocean Beach! 🏖️

For some of our students, it was their very first time seeing the ocean. 🥹 The joy, excitement, and pure awe and wonder in their eyes as they took in the vast Pacific Ocean was a moment we'll never forget.

A special THANK YOU to our incredible Board Member, Ted, for generously sponsoring this unforgettable adventure and joining us for the fun! And to our amazing staff for making this day so special. 🫶

Three years ago, Dominique and her girls arrived at Hamilton Families during one of the most difficult chapters of their lives. Today, they're pursuing their dreams and demonstrating what resilience, love, and determination looks like.

Tonight, guests of the Hamilton Families Annual Benefit will hear Dominique and her daughters share the journey behind them—a story of perseverance, possibility, and what can happen when you refuse to give up.
