Maitri Compassionate Care No one should have to suffer, transition or die alone. Maitri is a Residential Care Facility for the Make a Gift: https://www.maitrisf.org/donate/

Since 1987, Maitri has offered 15-beds, serviced by skilled professionals and dedicated volunteers who offer nursing and personal care as well as emotional and spiritual resources to help meet the special needs associated with HIV-related illness. This non-profit program in San Francisco is focused especially on those who might otherwise be without adequate resources or care.

We honor your name and pronouns. Period.

Maitri Affirmation Center exists because healing after gender affirming surgery deserves the same care and intention as the surgery itself. Private room, three home cooked meals a day, 24 hour nursing, therapy, and social work support for things like legal name changes. All wrapped in a community that actually gets it.

Sliding scale fees because no one should have to transition alone.

Cable came to the Maitri Affirmation Center for surgery recovery. She stayed for the community, the acceptance of who she is, and care that never stopped when the healing did.
