أنتج شركاؤنا في منصة "Sowt صوت" في الأردن موسمًا جديدًا من بودكاست "عيب"، وفيه يشاركوننا تجارب حقيقية عن العنف الرقمي، ويروون لنا كيف يمكن للكلمات على الشاشة أن يكون لها تأثير حقيقي على حياتنا اليومية.

Digital violence doesn’t stay behind a screen

Our partners at Sowt in Jordan have produced a new season of the Eib podcast, where they share real-life experiences of digital violence and how words on the screen can have a real impact on our daily lives

The first two episodes were just released this month. With these two installments, we travel to Mauritania to hear about the experience in the digital sphere of the feminist activist Salka Hmeida. Then, in Beit Lehem, you will hear from the founder of the Palestinian Clown Crew, Issa Nimr, who talks about the paradox behind the image of the clown and discusses what happens when humor turns into a tool for ridicule in the digital space

From Northwest Africa to the crossroads of Western Asia, this season of Eib will act as a pathway into understanding the broader ecosystem of technology-facilitated gender-based violence studies and solutions that our partners are building in the Larger World, sharing with you why the digital space has become unsafe for so many women and minorities and how it reflects older forms of violence and control that still very much exist in the real world
