Halloween on Chenery Street!🎃💀

Diamond and Elk for trick-or-treating
Saturday, October 31, 5-9PM

👻 We need volunteers to staff the barricades.

It’s a great way to give back to Glen Park while watching a parade of joy and goofiness. Shifts run 90 minutes and begin at 4:30 p.m. The street closure starts at 5 and ends at 8:30 p.m., and the shifts end no later than 9 p.m.

Educational Event: November Ballot Measures for Funding Muni and Bay Area Transit

Join us on October 15, 6-7:30pm, in the Castro (Most Holy Redeemer Church, 100 Diamond St) for a presentation and Q&A on two upcoming ballot measures.
• Connect Bay Area, a sales tax to fund public transit in Alameda, Contra Costa, San Francisco, Santa Clara, and San Mateo
• Proposition H, a 15-year property tax to fund Muni in San Francisco counties

Come learn about what’s at stake for the future of Muni and Bay Area Transit on the November ballot. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about these important ballot measures and get your questions answered!

Glen Park Neighborhood Featured in Walktober! ( check out the article in the Glen Park News Blog… https://www.glenparkassociation.org)

“Led by the Crosstown Trail, joined by Glen Park Beautiful’s SF Stairway Month 2026 and dozens of other groups, Walktober already has over 40 guided walks (the list is continuing to grow). The walks traverse the entire city, with ones that focus on plants, landmark trees, sculpture (Big Art Loop!), tiled stairways, beaches, and even include bird watching.

Glen Park, one of the city’s smallest neighborhoods, plays an outsized role in Walktober. Do look at Walktober and get out those walking shoes!

Here are just a few of the Glen Park-centric gems:
•Crosstown Trail Pub Crawl (October 6): Starts at Glen Park Station Glen Park Station
•Plants and Birds and Rocks and Things: The Remarkable Histories of Glen Canyon Park (October 11): Led by Glen Park’s historian, Evelyn Rose. To RSVP, email [email protected]
•Glen Park Neighborhood Walk (October 21): A new walk, designed especially for Walktober and led by our fabulous Glen Park librarians.
•Truly Terrific: Tiled to Tiled Stairway Walk (October 24th): Co-led by Glen Park Beautiful’s Renee Berger you’ll visit 5 tiled stairs and enjoy a relaxing grand finale at Glen Park Station.
•All About San Francisco’s Stairways: No Walking Required! (October 27): Hosted by Bird & Beckett
•Glen Park Gravel (October 31): Revisit our rural past walking some of the city’s oldest dirt paths once grazed by cows. This walk will be led by the Crosstown Trail’s Double Cross founders with highlights added by Glen Park Neighborhoods History Project’s founder, Evelyn Rose.

✨The Glen Park Night Market is back Saturday, September 19, from 3-8 PM, bringing an afternoon of live music, DJs, local makers, community fun, and plenty of reasons to come hungry. Wander the neighborhood, grab a bite at one of Glen Park’s great restaurants and cafés, discover local artists and small businesses, dance a little, shop a little, and hang out with your neighbors.
Bring your crew, bring the kids, bring your appetite — and leave the afternoon open.
Glen Park is turning the neighborhood into one big block party, and you’re invited!
