We are very happy to be a co-presenter for the record release event on August 16 for Sharon Bernstein's Forever in Our House: The Meir Noy Yiddish Song Project, the culmination of years of research. Taking place at Sha'ar Zahav, the event will feature a concert featuring Cantor Bernstein and Veretski Pass. A zoom option is available.

Library Director Howard Freedman's latest column on Jewish books in J. The Jewish News of Northern California highlights two new books that focus on the often overlooked yizkor books that were created to commemorate Jewish communities destroyed in the Holocaust.

Both are available to borrow from the Library--but be aware that this week we are closing at 4 PM. We return to regular hours next week.

Two new releases bring to light the value of yizkor books, which were created by survivors to remember entire towns lost to the Holocaust.
