You are the hands, the face, and the voice of Spirit on earth. So what happens when the call comes and you're not sure you're big enough for it? πŸ€”

On Oct 4, Rev. Ken shared the moment he wondered, "Why do they want me?", and the answer that changed how he saw himself. That nudge you keep feeling might be a divine appointment. So what has it been asking of you lately?

None of us has to face the dark alone. 🎡

Just before the message at our Oct 4 service, Muwazu sang "Stand By Me," a song about the quiet courage that comes from knowing someone is beside you, even when everything around you feels uncertain.

"Stand by me, Unity..." Indeed, we are a community that shows up for one another.

Today is Spirit Day. πŸ’œ

People around the world wear purple today to stand with LGBTQ young people against bullying.

At our Oct 4 service came a reminder about the courage it takes to show up as your whole self, even in front of someone "who thinks you don't have the right to exist because of your gender or because of your sexuality or because of your race," and to call them higher by letting them see the whole, loving person in front of them.

At Unity SF, every person is welcome exactly as they are. Wearing purple today? Drop a πŸ’œ below πŸ‘‡

Where does that Sunday-morning joy really come from? Here's a hint: it's not the music. 🎢

The first practice of sacred service from our Oct 4 message turns the question around. If you want more love, more joy, a more vibrant community... what's the one thing you have to do? Watch on the Unity San Francisco YouTube channel! πŸ“Ίβœ¨

Big ideas are coming to Hayes Valley! 🎀✨

TEDx is coming to our neighborhood, and it's happening right here at Unity San Francisco. Spearheaded by our own JD Schramm, TEDxHayes Valley is an independently organized TEDx event that will turn our space into a stage for a Saturday afternoon of bold ideas, fresh voices, and the stories of a neighborhood that keeps reinventing itself.

The excitement is already real: more than 100 people applied to speak before October even began. Got an idea worth spreading? This is your moment.

Some of our greatest blessings have four legs. 🐾🎡

On Oct 4, the Feast of Saint Francis, our service opened by blessing our animal companions, the ones curled up in our laps today and the ones already across the rainbow bridge. Then "Blessing to the World" by Karen Drucker and Rev. David Bruner played as photos of the community's pets filled the screen.

It's a gentle song about the Divine moving through each of us, so that our presence and our love become a blessing to everyone around us. That morning, it was a thank-you to every pet who has been exactly that.

It's easy to be kind when everyone's being kind to you. The real test comes when they're not.

From our Sept 27 service, Rev. Jackie Hawkins asks what the great spiritual teachers would do in that moment, and closes with a reminder from Dr. King about when the time is right. So which do you reach for first? Watch on the Unity San Francisco YouTube channel! πŸ“Ίβœ¨
