Something as simple as a clean pair of socks can make a world of difference. 💙

For our neighbors experiencing homelessness and hardship, everyday essentials like socks provide more than comfort. They help keep people warm, healthy, and safe. In 2025, St. Anthony’s served nearly 14,000 people, and longstanding partners like Bombas help us meet our community’s most basic needs with dignity and care.

Thanks to Bombas’ incredible donation of 55,000 pairs of socks, thousands of our neighbors will have access to an essential item that is so often overlooked. Thank you, Bombas, for your continued generosity and for helping us care for our community, one pair at a time. 🧦💙

A little extra love for our four-legged friends 🐾 Last weekend, our community came together for St. Anthony’s annual Blessing of the Animals, celebrating the special companions who bring so much joy and comfort into our lives.

Calling all pets, from paws to claws, feathers to scales! 🐾 Our beloved Blessing of the Animals is back.

In celebration of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, bring your animal companions to St. Boniface Church for a special blessing from Franciscan friars and a morning rooted in community and care. Thanks to Full Belly Bus and the The San Francisco SPCA, free pet food, supplies, vaccinations, flea and tick prevention, and other pet care resources will also be available. All pets are welcome. We hope to see you and your beloved companions there!

More people are accessing drug treatment in San Francisco, but the path to recovery remains complex.

St. Anthony’s Dr. Larry Kwan recently spoke with KRON4 about the realities of recovery and the importance of ensuring people can access the care and support they need. The conversation comes as a new San Francisco Department of Public Health Treatment on Demand report shows a 30% increase in people receiving drug treatment over the past three years, while also identifying continued barriers to timely care.

At St. Anthony’s, we see recovery as more than just access to treatment. It also requires stability, community, dignity, and continued support that meets people where they are. Watch Dr. Kwan’s conversation with KRON4 to learn more:

St. Anthony families got to spend the day making memories at Courtside Connections, hosted by the Golden State Valkyries and Waymo. After enjoying activities and time together, families headed into the arena to cheer on the Valkyries for their final home game of the regular season.

Moments like these offer our families a chance to experience something new, have fun together, and feel connected to the greater Bay Area community. We’re grateful to the Golden State Valkyries and Waymo for making our families part of such a memorable day.
