Youth for Community Engagement YCE Program The YCE program connects bilingual youth with members of the Chinese community to help them get prepared for disaster.

Youth for Chinese Elderly Program is a unique program in American Red Cross Bay Area. YCE’s mission is to connect Chinese youth with the community as a whole, teaching them leadership skills and providing them with a variety of opportunities. In turn, the countless hours of dedication and service they provide the Red Cross and Asian community help foster a better sense of preparedness and cross ge

nerational understanding. Incorporating over 550 youth, many of whom are recent Chinese immigrants, YCE connects bilingual youth with members of the Chinese community to help them get prepared for disasters. With Youth for Chinese Elderly clubs in nine San Francisco high schools, the program allows youth volunteers to give back to the their community.
