Today, we begin a new era.
After nearly five decades as NAIOP, we are now the Commercial Real Estate Development Association — CREDA, San Francisco Bay Area Chapter.
This wasn't a decision made lightly. It came from our members: surveys, interviews, and focus groups that surfaced a consistent finding — our name no longer reflected the full scope of what our members do.
Commercial real estate development today spans industrial, multifamily, life sciences, data centers, retail, healthcare, hospitality, and more. CREDA reflects that reality. It also strengthens our voice where it matters most: in legislative meetings, policy conversations, and every room where our industry needs to be clearly understood.
The name is new. The mission is not.
We remain committed to the advocacy, education, research, and relationships our members have relied on for decades — and to developing the next generation of industry leaders.
