Training isn’t just about building skills; it is a fundamental part of building a stronger care system - because the future of care depends on the people who provide it.

That’s one of the ideas behind the Care Collaborative Training initiative, delivered in partnership with SF IHSS Public Authority and Homebridge Inc., to provide paid technical and skills training to Providers in San Francisco.

Today, we’re celebrating the first cohort, who recently completed the program, and sharing our excitement to continue that work with our next cohort, which started this week.

Every caregiver has a story. And sometimes, the moments that define that story happen when you least expect them.

For Dariana, one of those moments came when she encountered someone experiencing an overdose in her community and was able to use the Narcan skills she learned through STEPs III.

For Deshando, nearly a decade in caregiving has taken him through different roles, experiences, and challenges, shaping the caregiver and mentor he is today.

Last week, we were pleased to welcome Mike Levine, Executive Director of the San Francisco Department of Homelessness & Supportive Housing, to the Ambassador Hotel - one of Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation's Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) sites.

partners with at two PSH sites to provide direct care, care management, case management, and supplemental services focused on health, well-being, and housing retention.

Mike toured the site and met with residents and Homebridge clients, Mason and Enrique, who shared their experiences, what has been helpful to them, and what additional resources and opportunities could support their well-being and connection to community.

We’re grateful to Mike for taking the time to visit, listen, and learn alongside residents and the teams who support them.

Most of all, we appreciate Mason and Enrique for sharing their perspectives and helping us continue to learn from the people at the heart of this work.

Homebridge Inc. is expanding into Alameda County through a new partnership with Alameda Alliance for Health – marking Homebridge’s first direct care expansion outside of San Francisco.

We were honored to participate in the Institute on Aging AAPI Leadership Panel, where leaders across healthcare, home care, and affordable housing came together to share their experiences, perspectives, and commitment to community impact.
