Third Thursdays in Yerba Buena: a monthly night of art, performance, food and drink in San Francisco’s arts and culture district in downtown San Francisco's Yerba Buena neighborhood. At 6:30pm in the MoAD Salon, We’re Staying: Poetry with Sounds of Resistance and Celebration is part of Teju Adisa-Farrat’s “We’re Staying” series via her work through World Unwrapped. This evening of poetry and sounds focuses on resistance and celebration across the African Diaspora. Featuring the songstress Tsedal Tesfahun, Teju explores the importance of staying as it is manifested in the historical and contemporary reality of the African diaspora.
