Soroptimist International of San Francisco A global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment.

The name, Soroptimist, means "best for women," and that's what the organization strives to achieve. Soroptimists are women at their best, working to help other women to be their best. Soroptimist members belong to local clubs which focus on volunteer work to their communities. San Francisco's club projects include raising public awareness about domestic violence through the use of youth art in bu

s shelters, giving grants to single mothers going back to college to improve their work skills, supporting SafeHouse and the Bayview Mission, and giving scholarships and grants to students and organizations, and more! This past weekend, I was honored to attend the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Sierra Pacific Region in Fresno, California as President of Soroptimist International of San Francisco.

What an incredible milestone celebrating 50 years of service, leadership, sisterhood, and unwavering commitment to improving the lives of women and girls throughout our communities.

Being in a room filled with so many passionate and visionary women was both inspiring and energizing. The shared stories, fellowship, laughter, and dedication to service reminded me why this work matters so deeply. When women come together with purpose, lives are transformed and communities are strengthened.

As President of SISF, I left Fresno reflecting on the power of legacy and the importance of continuing to build strong leaders for the future. Service is not just about what we do today—it’s about the doors we open for the next generation.

Congratulations to the Sierra Pacific Region on 50 extraordinary years of impact. Here’s to continuing the mission, elevating women and girls, and creating an even brighter future ahead.

This weekend, I had the honor of attending the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Sierra Pacific Region in beautiful Fresno, California with club members from SanFrancisco,CA. What a powerful reminder of what happens when purpose, passion, and service come together.

For 50 years, women across this region have dedicated themselves to uplifting women and girls, advocating for education, empowerment, and opportunity. Being surrounded by so many dynamic, visionary women reminded me that service is not just about what we do—it’s about the legacy we leave behind.

The laughter, the fellowship, the shared stories, and the commitment to making a difference made this celebration truly unforgettable. Moments like these remind us that when women support women, communities change, lives transform, and futures are rewritten.
