Soroptimist International of San Francisco A global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment.

The name, Soroptimist, means "best for women," and that's what the organization strives to achieve. Soroptimists are women at their best, working to help other women to be their best. Soroptimist members belong to local clubs which focus on volunteer work to their communities. San Francisco's club projects include raising public awareness about domestic violence through the use of youth art in bu

s shelters, giving grants to single mothers going back to college to improve their work skills, supporting SafeHouse and the Bayview Mission, and giving scholarships and grants to students and organizations, and more!
