Naga and the Captainess, born in Black Rock City, now swims into San Francisco with 5,000 handmade scales, glowing softly and dreaming in technicolor.
This living myth was conjured by artists Cjay Roughgarden, Stephanie Shipman, and Jacquelyn Scott, in collaboration with Illuminate, SF Rec & Parks, The Sijbrandij Foundation, and Team Building 180.

The Golden Spike has been driven home, marking the inception and the epicenter of Black Rock City 2025. This moment sends a powerful ripple of connection and participatory creativity around the globe. For Tomorrow Today, participants from more than 100 countries will converge in the dust, illuminating Black Rock City through awe-inspiring acts of Communal Effort. Will we see you there?

Friday was Fence Day! Did you know the 9.2 mile long Trash Fence that encircles Black Rock City is pounded into place by dozens of members of the Department of Public Works and other teams? This colossal task started at the crack of dawn, and is yet another example of the amazing Communal Effort it takes to bring our desert city to life.
