Mission Neighborhood Centers workforce development department welcomes all youth of San Francisco, our target population is high, at and in-risk youth with multiple barriers to successful transitions. Our goal is to support whole family systems and use employment as an opportunity to connect youth to services that support them year round. This includes but is not limited to pre-trainee and subsidi

zed work opportunities, re-connection to education including GED and high school equivalence vocational training, case management and other supportive services. Year Round Program- Mission Neighborhood Centers in partnership with the Department of Public Works provides young adults with the opportunity to work in our year round program. We support young adults in removing barriers, gaining valuable work experience and on the job training. This pre-trainee program provides participants interested in environmental service work hands on training and experience in gardening, greening, planting, litter abatement and graffiti removal. Interrupt Predict and Organize program (IPO)- MNC partners with the Mayor's Office and the Department of Public Works on the IPO program. This program serves transitional age, low income, high risk youth in San Francisco. These youth often have multiple barriers making employment and educational goals virtually impossible. IPO is designed to help youth remove tese obstacles while receiving on the job training from partners like Mission Neighborhood Centers. DPW Summer Youth Employment; MNC is in partnership with the Department of Public Works and the Department of Children Youth and their Families (DCYF) provides employment and trainingopportunities for over two hundred youth during the summer. This citywide initiative supports youth and young adults in neighborhoods and housing developments for 10 weeks during the summer.
