WOW. The numbers are almost all in and we can officially say: together we raised over $770,000 (!!!) towards free legal help for our neighbors who need it most.

Fair to say, the Good Neighbors’ Gala was a huge success— because this community knows that access to justice must be funded. We are grateful to the hundreds of people who attended our gala online or in person. Thank you!!

It’s been quite the year. While our funding was threatened, our attorneys were still going to bat for their clients while unsure of the future of the org. We had hundreds of donors, clients, and community members rally around us, and turned this into a record breaking year. Our team worked on 1,322 cases this year, giving that many families and neighbors access to justice.

This year, we will have worked on over 1,300 cases for the most vulnerable people in San Francisco. These are people who largely live on less than $35,000 per year, often for families of 4 or more. They share cramped rooms, they live under the constant threat of eviction, they endure abusive relationships because they have nowhere else to turn.
