LOVE SHOWS UP ā¤ļø

What a weekend.

We were honored to deploy our trucks to TWO back-to-school outreaches in Oakland, serving alongside incredible churches, nonprofits, and community partners who are committed to loving kids and families well.

At The Father’s House Oakland, 115 volunteers came together to serve the community by distributing more than 250 backpacks, serving 475 Chick-fil-A nachos and acai bowls, handing out 200 snow cones and 200 cotton candies, providing free haircuts, and creating a fun, hope-filled day for families.

We also had the privilege of serving at the JTA Foundation’s Back-to-School Outreach, where 1,200 backpacks were distributed to local students. Through our partnership with the GPII Foundation and the UCSF Dyslexia Center, our Wellness Truck connected families with valuable resources, while the Wholehearted Sports Basketball Trailer was a huge hit with kids throughout the day. Special thanks to Juan Toscano-Anderson, Arriana Duarte, Gary Payton II, Gary Payton (ā€œThe Gloveā€), and Monique and Raquel from the GPII Foundation for their leadership and investment in Oakland’s children.

A huge thank you to our incredible staff, volunteers, ministry partners, and generous donors. None of this happens without you.

Kids in Oakland are close to God’s heart. It’s a privilege to show up, serve together, and remind every child and family that they are seen, valued, and loved.

LOVE THE CITY 2026 ā¤ļø

This is what happens when love shows up.

✨ 2,500 guests registered
šŸŽ’ 1,100+ backpacks w/ school supplies distributed
šŸ½ļø 2,100+ hot meals served
šŸ™Œ 282 volunteers mobilized
šŸ“¦ 45 pallets of groceries and essential supplies distributed

Families also received free haircuts, carnival games, a petting zoo, a rock climbing wall, our mobile basketball arcade, wellness resources, and so much more—but the greatest gift wasn’t found in any backpack.

That’s why we do this.

Every backpack, every meal, every haircut, every game, every conversation was an opportunity to tell a child and a family: You are seen. You are loved. There is hope.

To every volunteer, church, nonprofit partner, donor, and friend—you made this possible. Thank you for proving that when we come together, entire communities can be changed.

Drive Hope Forward Recap Video!

The biggest takeaway from Drive Hope Forward:

Proximity matters.

Real change happens when people consistently show up. Close enough to see needs. Close enough to build trust. Close enough to give hope.

At Mobilize Love, we know we can’t solve everything. But we can faithfully show up for kids and families — and that positions us to help more as needed.

Thank you to everyone who came, gave, served, and believed in this mission.

Love still shows up. ā¤ļø

One of the key takeaways from Drive Hope Forward was this:

Kids in the Bay Area have physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs.

Mobilize Love knows we can’t meet every systemic need. But we can show up.

And when we show up consistently, proximity positions us to help as needed.

Because kids and families are not programs to manage — they are people to love.

Some days they need a meal.
Some days they need encouragement.
Some days they need help reading.
Some days they need prayer.

That’s why presence matters. Whoever shows up wins the battle of influence!

Thank you to everyone who continues to support Mobilize Love and helps us show up and give hope.

Drive Hope Forward reminded us of something simple, but powerful: proximity matters.

You can’t meet needs, teach children, or build trust from a distance. Proximity positions us to help as needed. That’s why Mobilize Love exists — to faithfully show up.

Our work is built around three pillars:
• Establishing presence
• Meeting physical needs
• Teaching personal life skills

But none of that happens unless someone first shows up.

Thank you to everyone who attended Drive Hope Forward and helped make the night so meaningful. Thank you to the Salesforce team for your incredible hospitality, to Aubrie Tolliver for emceeing the night, to Gary Payton II for being our special guest, and to Edward Paz and Spencer Romero for your leadership and support.

Most of all, thank you to our supporters. Your generosity is helping us continue to show up and give hope across the Bay Area.

The Wellness Truck showed us what happens when a group of people chooses live generously. Generosity isn’t just financial, it’s:
• Time
• Relationships
• Knowledge
• Assets
• Opportunities
• Finances

Every act of generosity helps bring hope closer to children and families who need it most.

Most of this work doesn’t get posted—and that’s okay.

But it’s worth pausing to honor the people who make it happen.

Shoutout to our drivers and human services team—showing up day in and day out, loading trucks, delivering groceries, and serving families without much fanfare.

This is just a small glimpse from one site… a portion of the food that went out to hundreds of families.

Quiet work. Faithful work. Real impact.

This is what it looks like to establish presence and meet physical needs.

If you want to see more of what’s happening across the Bay, join us Monday, May 11 for Drive Hope Forward.

The Dodgers didn’t come to San Francisco just to compete… they came to serve.

Los Angeles Dodgers players Alex Call, Will Klein, and Emmet Sheehan showed up and got to work—on the food truck and stage truck, side by side with our team.

300 students and faculty served.
300 meals prepared and distributed.
And more than that… seeds planted that will last far beyond today.

In partnership with Big League Impact these men didn’t just meet physical needs—they stepped in to teach personal life-skills.
Talking through conflict. Sharing wisdom. Pointing to something greater.

And when Alex Call shared the good news of God’s… that’s what this is all about.

This is what it looks like when love shows up.
Presence.
Provision.
Purpose.

Thank you for using your platform the right way—serving others, giving hope, and reminding these kids they are seen, valued, and loved.
