April is Earth Month, which means the goats are out doing what they do best, protecting the planet one bite at a time.

Fun fact: grazing is a natural form of fire mitigation. Goats clear dry brush, invasive weeds, and ladder fuels that help fires spread.

Who remembers sweet Mary Rose?

Since the Goat Cuddle Zone is canceled this weekend (April 11 & 12) due to weather we thought we'd share some goat facts.

Q: Do goats like the rain?

A: It is a myth that goats like rain; in fact, it is a well-established fact that most goats absolutely hate getting wet. Goats will often run to shelter at the first sign of a storm or even before the first drops fall. They are known to stand under cover rather than graze in rain.

Scientists say butterflies sometimes land on goats because they’re attracted to the minerals on their fur. Little Belle heard that and said, ‘Why wait?’ and just became the butterfly instead. 🐐🦋

They’re flapping their fabulous wings and reminding you that tomorrow , April 4th is the official opening day of the Goat Cuddle Zone.

Fun fact: goats don’t actually turn into butterflies, but they do attract them. Butterflies love the same wildflowers goats browse on, which basically makes our herd accidental pollinator influencers.
