Much love to Sunset Youth Services for opening their doors to our young people today, and to so many others across the city every single day.

We had the opportunity to tour their space and see firsthand the work they’re doing for youth through music, film, design, and creative expression. More importantly, we saw the passion and commitment they bring to pouring into the next generation.

Spaces like this matter. Safe spaces. Creative spaces. Spaces where young people are seen, supported, and encouraged to dream bigger.

Grateful for the hospitality and excited for future collaboration.

Today, members of Nuestra Causa stood in solidarity outside San Francisco County Jail alongside survivors, formerly incarcerated people, advocates, attorneys, and community organizations marking one year since the unlawful mass strip search carried out in the women’s pod.

This vigil was not only about remembrance, it was about demanding accountability, dignity, and real change for incarcerated people and their families.

Thank you to the organizations and leaders who stood together in unity, including:
• California Coalition for Women Prisoners
• Legal Services for Prisoners with Children
• Sister Warriors
• All of Us or None of Us
• Young Women’s Freedom Center
• San Francisco Public Defender’s Office
• Community members, families, and survivors who continue organizing for justice

Nuestra Causa solidarity protects people.

Tomorrow, our community has a chance to help shape the future of the 16th St Mission BART Plaza.

The public spaces on 24th Street were shaped in conjunction with street vendors and community advocacy to help preserve the culture and everyday life of the corridor. As conversations begin around the future of 16th Street, we believe this process should continue to reflect broad collective community input, including residents, workers, small businesses, artists, youth, and vendors alike.

We encourage the community to attend, learn about the redesign, and share feedback directly with project staff.

Kudos to Rudy C and United Playaz for organizing.

What we saw at the Embarcadero this weekend is unacceptable.

Food vendors were chased down and treated like criminals for simply trying to earn a living. A pattern that has continued. Their carts and belongings were taken, when they are working people trying to pay rent and support their families.

This is not an isolated incident. It is part of a continued pattern we have seen across San Francisco.

The City must stop criminalizing survival and instead provide clear, fair, and workable paths for vendors to comply with the law without fear.

Vendors deserve dignity, not punishment.
