Founded in 1994, the Eta Omicron Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi has grown from its humble beginnings to become the largest fraternity on the San Francisco State Campus. Staying true to the history of San Francisco State, the birthplace of ethnic studies, Eta Omicron's motto is 'brotherhood through diversity.'

We are a social fraternity dedicated to building strong bonds between young men, transforming

boys into leaders by choice, and supporting the Ability Experience. The Ability Experience, formerly Push America, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves people with disabilities. The Ability Experience was founded in 1977 as the national philanthropy of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity with the purpose of instilling lifelong service in its members and enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities. Although the organization is still fulfilling the purpose for which it was intended, The Ability Experience has grown into a nationally recognized nonprofit with numerous programs educating undergraduates, alumni and communities about the abilities of people with disabilities. Eta Omicron does its part to support the Ability Experience by maintaining a volunteer website with the Janet Pomeroy Center. Right across Lake Merced, the Janet Pomeroy Center holds a special place in the hearts of many people and the Pi Kapps of Eta O dedicate their time to supporting this wonderful place.
