James Louie represented FIDI Toastmasters club in the division C, tall tales contest for district 4. On April 19, my husband James could handle a great deal of stress and pressure getting to the contest, and participating in the contest. We were stuck in gridlock traffic on Van Ness Avenue on a Carmageddon day, one of the worst days to drive in the city. We managed to get there 15 minutes late, but he was able to compete and get third place in the tall tales portion of the competition. Aaron Samson came in First place in the International speech contest, and will be competing in the May 9 Toastmasters International conference to compete with other contestants. Aaron Samsom came to our club’s hybrid meeting, on Wednesday, April 22 at 12 noon to practice his speech, “ Circle of Life” for the May 9 Annual conference. FIDI Toastmasters club wish him the best of luck at the May 9 annual conference.

Please join us for the FiDi Toastmaster Hybrid Meeting this Wednesday at noon. We will have two speakers this week, both of whom will be practicing for the upcoming Division contest. This should be an exciting meeting. The agenda can be found at FiDi Toastmasters Agenda and at the end of this email.

The meeting will be held at One Sansome Street, 12th floor, San Francisco, CA. Guests can meet in the lobby and text Davin at (925) 446-0071. For those coming in person, please try to arrive by 11:55 a.m.
