Golden Gate Toastmasters Golden Gate Toastmasters has helped San Francisco professionals build speaking and leadership skills for 90 years. Please don't arrive late.

We meet every Wednesday 6-8 pm at the SF Chamber of Commerce, 235 Montgomery St #760, San Francisco, CA 94104 For over 75 years, Golden Gate Toastmasters has provided our members with weekly public speaking opportunities, a supportive environment, and a venue for developing new friendships. We're a club devoted to improving each others' public speaking and leadership potential. Individually, we each bring unique experiences and perspectives to the group. Collectively we help each other achieve personal and professional goals. We are here to speak, to have fun, and to help all our members to succeed. Meetings start promptly at 6pm and ends at 8pm. After each meeting, we offer a social hour at a nearby restaurant, to give members and guests the opportunity to learn more about each other and about the club. Courage, compassion, and community.

We had a wonderful evening at Golden Gate Toastmasters’ Open House on September 16!

It was especially meaningful to welcome Michael Dart back to Golden Gate Toastmasters. Michael first joined our club in 2003, and during our conversation he reflected on the impact Toastmasters has had on his life and the skills he has carried beyond the meeting room.

Two words came to mind for him when describing the Toastmasters experience: courage and compassion.

Thank you to Michael, our members, guests, and everyone who volunteered to make the evening possible. And a special welcome to those who experienced Toastmasters for the first time!

Meet Helen Fream — one of our longest-standing GGTM members. 🌟

Before she found us, Helen was already a Toastmaster back in England. When she moved to the US, GGTM was the first club she found meeting in person again — and the people, the vibe, and the support made her stay.

Three years later, she's not just conquered her nerves about public speaking — she's learned to enjoy it. In 2025, she took that growth all the way to the District conference, placing 3rd in the Humorous Speech contest. 🏆

Here's how Helen describes Golden Gate Toastmasters, in her own words:
"It's a place where you can be yourself, share stories you didn't know you had in you, and grow with the support and guidance of other members. Embrace your fear of public speaking in a safe space!"
