Friends of McKinley Square Park [FoMSP] is happy to announce we have two rounds of corporate volunteers arriving again in June to perform a “Corporate Day of Service”. McKinley Square continues to host these events throughout the year since 2009. Our June events will represent a total of 55+ corporate volunteers coming out and loving our neighborhood park.
The FoMSP park program includes a customized half-day experience for teams of varying sizes using a permit reservation system allowing 3 weeks advance notice for park staff to accommodate. Activities include trash and litter clean-ups, children’s play areas and sand restoration, invasive removal, trail work, w**d tending, graffiti removal, and more.
Volunteer groups have the opportunity to coordinate with park staff to prioritize and choose how they would like to volunteer and can request specific tasks. The partnership between FoMSP and SF Recreation and Parks is another successful example of neighbors volunteering here in Potrero Hill to do good deeds.
SF Recreation and Parks design work day projects and pair groups with experienced volunteer coordinators for the duration of the event to ensure the park is being preserved and protected at all times during the beautification and restoration events.
