API Council strongly opposes the Trump administration’s proposed rule that would exclude millions of immigrants from the 2030 Census, threatening critical funding for healthcare, housing, education, and other essential services, as well as fair representation for our communities.

We urge the Commerce Department to withdraw this harmful proposal and encourage community members and partners to speak out.

Earlier this month, the API Council hosted a Congressional Town Hall in with CA-11 candidates Scott Wiener, Connie Chan, and Saikat Chakrabarti, moderated by NBC Bay Area’s Raj Mathai.

Community members came together to hear directly from candidates on the issues that matter, from housing to public safety to the future of our neighborhoods. This is what civic engagement looks like.
