Meet 4-month-old Riggs! If you’ve been thinking about adopting a German Shepherd puppy, he’s your guy! His foster family has fostered dozens of GSD puppies and says he is their easiest pup so far! He gets along well with other dogs, loves humans, is whip-smart (knows his basic commands already!), and doing well with potty training (if you stay alert). He sleeps in bed with his foster daddy and makes it through the night without an accident! This is even more impressive when you consider that he came to us as a stray from Chicago with several bite wounds on his head that required stitches. We think this makes him look even more adorable!

It is with great joy that we announce the forever home placement of Hershey, a sweet boy who has captured our hearts. BEAR ATTACK AT LOCAL ANIMAL RESCUE

*reporter voice activated* Witnesses are saying a large black and white bear has attacked multiple volunteers and staff at I Heart Dogs in Warren. It was reported that Dimitri, a one year old and 75 lb. ball of fuzz who came in with his sister, is the culprit. He jumps up for hugs and keeps his big ol’ paws on your chest until he believes your face is clean enough. 👅 The attacks were severe, with many victims leaving with their hearts full and their neck rolls slobbery. Our little sweetheart Valentina still needs a home!

Approximately 10 months old, Vale is a Shepherd mix picked up as a stray in Chicago by CACC. She started out as a peanut at 38lbs but has filled out to a lean, healthy 55 lbs while in foster care. Vale has nice manners meeting dogs and people passing by. She is housebroken (when on a good schedule) and crate trained, and sleeps well all night without a potty break. Vale knows her basic commands and will work for food!

This spirited pup loves stuffed and chew toys and is very playful - by herself and with other dogs. She is currently being fostered with two adult shepherds (she has lovely dog manners), cats (she is relatively neutral) and older children (loves kids! But plays a bit rough so children 8 and older would be best).

Vale went from being terrified of the car to loving it and hopping in for adventures whenever she can get them. She regularly goes for long walks and hikes and plays with the resident dogs and neighbor dogs as well as occasional daycare to keep up her social skills. They love her in daycare, they say she is one of the dogs that can be out with anyone!

Vale has been waiting for a home for almost three months and we can’t figure out why! She is such a sweet soul with a lot of energy and a lot of love to give! If interested please,
