Call for Science and Game Development Mentors and Contributors!

Climate Jam 2026 starts July 1st! This multi-week event is held online and designed to guide jammers through the creation of imaginative, engaging, and meaningful games that address climate change with a positive impact.

We are calling for people with game development and/or science backgrounds to support and advise our jammers as team mentors, session presenters, and more! There are many ways to contribute, and we are flexible to your availability.

IndieCade members and Horizons participants are invited to join us tonight for this month's Third Thursdays Horizons Session: June 18th at 6pm PDT / 9pm EDT.

Making the Most of Game Jams with the team behind These Four Walls

In October, 2025, a small team from all over the world worked together over a week to develop These Four Walls, which won both the Unreal Engine 1st Prize and best audio awards at the 2025 Epic MegaJam. They faced several challenges and setbacks, but through several good process and production decisions, they were able to create something together that the judges loved. Of course, luck will always be random. But over many game jams, they’ve found several repeatable processes that have greatly increased their chances of successful jams. This talk will focus on sharing the approaches that have worked well for them to help prepare you for both the IndieCade Climate Jam and any game project.
