At stop #5 is featuring artist in his show "Purple" !

"purple" is a show about the in-between. born in 2001, jacob grew up as the only child of in*******al parents. he spent most of his childhood in wisconsin, a “purple state,” known for being a battleground in today’s polarized political environment. he oscillated between madison, a highly educated college town, where he went to school, and the countryside of oregon (a town in wisconsin), a landscape with more cornfields than houses, where his parents had built their home. a baseball player all his life, jacob spent a great deal of his summers travelling to tournaments in small towns around the rural midwest. the experience was a moasiac of dichotomies: rolling hills and suburban hellscapes, beautiful clouds and disappointing rainouts, MAGA hats and microaggressions, fast-food diners and Chinese-American restaurants. inspired by these memories of the midwest, jacob has set out to explore what lies at the cross-section, perhaps discovering an unseen world, or inventing new ones.

trained as a photographer, jacob is a conceptual artist who has spent recent years creating collaged works that integrate cyanotype, screenprint, found and fabricated objects. his work engages themes of place, familial lore, tradition, language, labor, archives, and generational care.

This month at stop #2 will feature artist !

Ian James decided to start an accessories line after making a few basic totes for family members Christmas of 2012, and has been working with leather ever since. His self named brand began in early 2013 as he cut patterns on his Bronx apartment living room floor. Since then he has shipped products around the US and to many countries while he moved around from New York, Miami, Sonoma, and now San Francisco. The official Ian James brick and mortar store opened in May 2021 where he proudly displays his work and continues to handcraft every piece in the collection.

"At the heart of the designs are strong angular lines and my classic Double X motif that has become my signature mark across many of the products. The core mission of the brand is to create products that can withstand all aspects of life, from leisure, to business to travel, all while being effortlessly chic. Thanks to a very supportive client base, the bags continue to be a full made to order experience.”

This month at stop #9 will feature artist !

His work investigates the tensions between the human figure and its interior life. Working primarily in acrylic, and occasionally in pencil and charcoal, Brezel constructs scenes that are at once theatrical and deeply personal, using layered brushwork and vibrant color to explore themes of vulnerability, identity, and q***r embodiment. His male subjects appear not as archetypes but as emotional landscapes.

This month the guided tour is leaving from !! Check out what’s going on over there…

"Please Don’t Touch", Works by and . Ever since childhood, artists Cecilia Lusven and Bussie Parker Kehoe have had to resist the urge to touch everything they see. That impulse now sits at the core of their practices. Working with simple, overlooked materials—leather remnants and old bicycle inner tubes for Lusven, discarded house paint for Kehoe—both artists test the limits of their mediums, pushing them to unexpected ends. Their works are tactile and sculptural, inviting contact, yet are accompanied by the familiar warning: “please don’t touch.”

If you’d like to join us on the tour we’ll leave from MAG Galleries at 5:00 pm. If you’d prefer to take on the self guided tour, you can start at any location on the map!
