Castro Art Walk Walk your way through the creativity of the Castro every first Friday of the month from 5:00-8:00 This free, self-guided experience is open to all.

It’s almost one week away from the last Castro Art Walk of the summer season!

Next Friday’s plans are made for you, from 5:00-8:00 pm we’re traipsing around the Castro, hunting for art. We hope you can join us on this magical August 7th evening!

This upcoming walk at stop #5 Starbelly Restaurant will feature artist Riah Fox !

"Riah Fox (they/them) is a q***r and non-binary artist, writer, and wanderer, chasing beauty and using creativity to navigate life’s chaos. Riah explores color, pattern, and texture across various mediums including gouache paintings and analog collage. For this event, Riah will be displaying a series of abstract gouache paintings with a “fishnet” pattern inspired by q***r culture and fashion, exhibiting bright neons and deep blacks, with just a splash of chaos."

At stop #11 this Aug. 7th Castro Art Walk Fabulosa Books will feature paintings by artist June Petrie !

“June Petrie is a q***r artist and longtime San Francisco resident whose intuitive paintings explore transformation, mystery, and the unseen. Working in acrylic and mixed media, she layers saturated color with paper collage, spray paint, pens, and occasional glitter to create dreamlike worlds that move between abstraction, surrealism, and expressionism.

Guided by instinct, emotion, and chance, Petrie allows each painting to reveal itself. Her work draws from dreams, memory, alchemy, q***r communities, city nights, and the visionary art of Odilon Redon. Landscapes, animals, figures, and cosmic imagery emerge without fixed meanings, leaving space for viewers to bring their own stories and connections.

Petrie discovered painting after caring for her eccentric uncle through the final chapter of his life. Creating his portrait from memory opened the door to a lifelong artistic practice. She continues to paint with curiosity, embracing change, discovery, and the unknown.”

Tomorrow during the Castro Art Walk Klein Epstein & Parker will feature the works of artist Morris Eaddy !

"Influenced by street art/graffiti aesthetics, Morris Eaddy (MeArt) uses online social media imagery and urban landscapes as his inspiration. Accentuating hands in his portraits and extreme point-of-view visual perspectives in everyday life defines his style. From online imagery and urban life, his work results in screen prints, stickers, paintings, sketches and t-shirts. His love of drawing fuels his passion. MeArt has created public artworks in the city of Sherman Oaks, California. He’s been a featured artist in live painting events, and has tabled at many LGBTQ+ festivals and art shows."
