Hey there First Friday fanatics! The next Castro Art Walk is November 6th from 5:00-8:00 pm and we can’t wait to celebrate…

You are invited to experience every medium of art at these specialized art exhibits on the November 6th Castro Art Walk!!

19 art galleries and local merchants stay open late to host special events, highlighting local and international artists, that the community can experience together each month.

We offer guided and self-guided tours of the Castro’s 19 mini-art shows.

This Friday Starbelly Restaurant will feature the work of Riley Alyson!

"Riley Alyson (they/them/fae/faer) creates vibrant, whimsical acrylic paintings on wood. They are drawn to expressing the beauty in the overlooked and forgotten moments. Their goal in many of their works is to shine a warm, bright, and loving light on those that seem like misfits, and in doing so, reflect that light and care within ourselves. Riley also serves as one of three Co-Executive Directors at Crowded Fire Theater, where they bring that same care to arts leadership. In both art forms, Riley believes strongly in creating space for people to feel supported and feel seen."

This upcoming first Friday Q***r Arts Featured will host the opening to their new group exhibition "UnSupervised” !

"In conjunction with the Fall Of Freedom fourteen artists from around the Bay Area come together to explore the political and personal moment we find ourselves in. This multimedia show confronts the reality of leadership during and ever darkening period in our history, how it effects them and their communities, and what we can and are doing to stand up, fight back, and protect the rights and lives of those most in need.

Shining a light on injustice and lifting us up in bleak times is the greatest obligation and gift of an artist. In UnSupervised, these artists do just that."

This month stop #20 Rubys Clay Studio and Gallery will host the opening to their new show "Strictly Sculpture”

"A juried show of Ruby’s Community artists. Ruby’s may have a reputation of focusing on pottery, but many of the members create sculptures. This show showcases those creations."
