Zhengyi Huang just gave a stunning recital in Jiangyin on May 23 – "Tracing Roots" – and GOCAA is absolutely thrilled. From the delicate fragrance of Jasmine Fantasy to the raw power of Yellow River, from the birdsong of Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix to the primal fire of Stravinsky's Firebird, he held the audience spellbound with his extraordinary color, technique, and musical vision. Bravo, Zhengyi!
A pianist of remarkable achievement, Huang Zhengyi is a winner of seven international first prizes and over thirty competition top honors. His programming is never conventional: he weaves Eastern and Western masterpieces together under poetic themes like "Flower Language", "Divine Birds", "Epic". He also performs his own original works, such as Reeds – Where Waters Meet, proving himself a true artist-composer of the new generation.
And the journey has only begun. Zhengyi is thrilled to share his upcoming China summer tour: Wuxi, Rizhao, Zhengzhou, Yuncheng, Ankang, Chengdu, and Shenzhen, with additional concerts in Guilin, Hunan, Beijing, and Qinghai to be announced. Alongside the recitals, he will give masterclasses and hold signing events for his newly released album Life · Love · Death – now available on Spotify and Apple Music. The album traces a powerful arc: from a puppet granted life in Stravinsky's Petrushka, through six pieces revealing different faces of love, to Liszt's Totentanz, where death becomes a final transformation toward renewal.
Our sincere thanks to the Global Outstanding Chinese Artists Association for supporting this cross-cultural journey. We can't wait to see where Zhengyi's music takes us next. Keep stunning! 🔥
