Taking a peek back at Sasha De Sola and Harrison James deep in Balanchine's Diamonds this past Season. The triptych arrives in its entirety in February, a very welcome return of the full evening of Balanchine's beloved Jewels.

The ballets we're bringing to Jacob's Pillow are imbued with legends including the deconstructive brilliance of William Forsythe's Prologue and The Barre Project, a program that stopped San Francisco in its tracks this past season. Don't miss us for Week 7 in The Berkshires: https://bit.ly/4dXrjpx

When reviewing Don Quixote this Season, The Bold Italic put it best: "I would say that this is why we are at the ballet and not the movies....As classical repertoire goes, Don Quixote counts among the liveliest. It played out like an actual silent film with lots of physical comedy. The dancers, as always, were extraordinary, but so were the costumes. The sets. A spinning windmill, a cart that gets destroyed, a live horse and a pony."

From championing women choreographers to upending classics, the former Royal Ballet star turned artistic director of the San Francisco Ballet doesn't play it safe.
