Raising Good Trouble ✊🏼

Making our demands as visible as ourselves 🎤
Guiding our intention as we organize for Trans Day of Visibility 2026 🏳️‍⚧️

What does it mean to be visible? 👀

In 2026, the limelight for trans people is unprecedented–we’ve become a household conversation. As we continue to fight for our rights, they are being incrementally stripped away from us. So what is the purpose of visibility in our struggle for liberation? it’s not enough to play defense, it’s imperative that we are as loud and proud of our wants and needs as much as we are of our existences. That’s why when we are visible: we build power through organizing. We must be strong, powerful, and organized leaders that take history and our future fate into our own hands.

This year’s theme is Raising Good Trouble. With the time, the moment, the people, and visibility we have, it’s important for us to declare that Trans Liberation is Global Liberation. Trans Resistance is the class struggle. As we know, none of us are free until all of us are free. Trans Liberation means building a world that fosters community, love, growth, and self-determination for all people. This world can only be built on a system where everyone has housing, healthcare, education, food - all the basic needs of human existence as basic human rights.

Visibility has always been a complicated question. Historically in the United States, some trans people have lived in stealth, or in the shadows. Significant reforms have been won by the movement for liberation. In the last decade or so, trans people have faced hyper-visibility in the form of tokenization and scapegoating.

It’s time for us to embrace the revolutionary spirit of our ancestors at Compton’s and Stonewall. We must assert a different kind of visibility - the visibility of a community that is organized to fight back. It’s our sacred responsibility to organize, politically educate, lead, and care for our people in our lifelong struggle for the better world we all deserve.

Join us Sunday, March 29th for Trans Day of Visibility! ✨ 11am-3pm at , SF

Happy Black History Month also known as African Liberation Month. This month we uplift the radical tradition of Black liberation and encourage people to draw connections between trans liberation and Black liberation movements - from Frances Thompson, to William Dorsey Swann, to Marsha P. Johnson and S.T.A.R. (Street Trans Action Revolutionaries). We hope to share information about organizing efforts this month that contributed to the trans liberation movement we know today.

In this collage you’ll see actions and affiliated organizations that have been active in building power in the movement to liberation! ❤️🖤💚

San Francisco shows out to tell ICE to GET OUT. The park was filled with protestors today. ICE is not welcome here!!

SHUT IT DOWN ❌ ICE OUT ❌

The brutal murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, among many others around the country, have moved millions to action against the terror that ICE and the racist deportation machine have caused in our communities.

Last week, Minnesota held a historic General Strike against ICE brutality that has awoken the entire country to our power as people. Now, we will make history again with a NATIONWIDE shutdown on Friday, January 30. ✨

Join us in solidarity with Minnesota against ICE terror tomorrow, Friday, January 30 at 1pm, at Dolores Park, Fruitvale Bart Station, Santa Clara University, Stanford University, and more! 🙌🏼

Justice for Alex Pretti, Renee Nicole Good, Keith Porter & all of the others who have been taken from us by ICE violence.

Somali and Black student organizers in Minneapolis are calling for a general strike. Given the historic event last Friday in Minneapolis (200,000+ people marching in the streets in subzero temperatures), the momentum of this movement is palpable. It was the first general strike to completely shut down a city in the US since the 1934 general strike here in SF.

MN is showing the way to combat ICE in our communities. ICE thought that by doubling down on their terror they would be able to intimidate people, but student groups are showing they will not back down in response to fear tactics, they are getting organized and calling on everyone to expand the strike nation-wide this Friday. We can all be inspired by their leadership. Let’s get organized to kick ICE out of our communities in the Bay!

Join the Nationwide Shutdown Jan 30!!!
