After three long years of hiatus due to the travel restrictions to enter Japan, the SF-Osaka Sister City Association (Association) is now proud to resume the program and offer an opportunity of a lifetime to TWO high school students from San Francisco to travel to Osaka for a three-week home stay experience this summer.

We are looking for youths with a keen interest in the Japanese culture and passion to share about San Francisco with the people in Osaka. Your three weeks will be filled with enriching activities including but not limited to visits to Osaka high schools, Osaka university and cultural experiences with your host families.

Selection will be based on a written essay, personal interests and accomplishments, and an in-person interview (please see the application link for details : tinyurl.com/hssap2023). We are looking for independent, motivated students with an interest in Japan who would thrive in a cross-cultural situation as our Student Ambassadors.
