Merced Extension Triangle Community Connectors (METCC Connectors) came together to organize and “Save METCC!” Organizing, advocating, making sure their voices are heard.

No advocacy effort or community organizing is complete without food! Homemade breads and cakes, fresh fruit, a delicious vegetarian lasagna made and shared by Lorraine, and so much more helped make the gathering a true celebration of community.

Stand by—and keep an eye on METCC. Something good is happening!

A quote from a participant:

As a 87 year old resident, the senior exercise class provided by METCC provides a much needed incentive for me to participate in
neighborhood activity. In addition to the positive benefit of the exercise, it allows me the advantage of socially interacting with other seniors in this neighborhood. I have met more of my neighbors, and become friends during this activity than in any other venture.

If you don't know where this neighborhood is, maybe you will recognize their mural on Alemany!

🚨 Protect Disability Rights in San Francisco

San Francisco is taking a dangerous position in Kirola v. City and County of San Francisco that could weaken federal accessibility standards and make it harder for people with disabilities to enforce their civil rights.

Join disability advocates in calling on the City Attorney to withdraw this position. Sign on and share the letter by August 25:

Accessibility is a civil right. Let’s make sure it stays that way.
