Everybody Solar Changing the way nonprofits are powered! Our vision is to create healthy and sustainable communities.

We want current and future generations to have equal access to essential social services while living on a thriving and sustainable planet. We aim to improve our communities by giving the gift of clean energy to organizations that need it most; non-profits on the front lines, serving our most vulnerable populations. By eliminating electricity costs for non-profits we help them maximize their impact on their direct cause. With our help, these organizations are able to invest funds directly into their missions: to feed children, provide counseling, support a shelter, or start a movement. By saving thousands of dollars for those who need it most, and harnessing the power of the sun, we help local communities thrive. We believe that everyone has the right to affordable energy and clean air. Everybody Solar is a nonprofit public benefit corporation, incorporated in the state of California.

Indigenous Peoples' Day is a reminder that our connection to the land and nature is sacred — and that Native communities deserve to be honored.

Today, we honor the Native communities leading the way in resilience, culture and self-determination.

Our role is simple: remove the energy bill, so more resources flow back to the mission.

A few of the projects we're proud to have supported:

🌿Nibezun 🌿One Spirit Allen Youth & Community Center 🌿 Lakota Buffalo House 🌿 Zuni Youth Enrichment Project (ZYEP)

Right now, we're raising funds for one more: One Spirit Wakpamni — free solar for the first and only free laundromat in the Wakpamni District, serving nearly 6,000 residents and bringing a vital service closer to home for families, elders, and youth.

Solar is the tool. Community leadership is the force.

In October 2024, a quiet energy trend gained major momentum across the U.S. commercial and multi-family housing sectors: Balcony Solar.

California recently became the 10th state to legalize these plug-and-play systems with the new Plug and Play Solar Act (SB 868). This legislation clears the way for renters and lower-income homeowners to install compact panels without expensive permits or professional installation.
A single 400-watt system can offset about 14% of an apartment’s electricity usage.

Solar power meets community power!

Thanks to a recent grant from Honda, Everybody Solar is bringing solar energy to Cornell Cooperative Extension of Niagara County (CCE-Niagara). This new solar array will reduce energy costs for Cornell Cooperative Extension of Niagara County allowing more resources to go toward programs that serve Niagara County families.

When nonprofits switch to solar, they aren’t just lowering bills. They’re unlocking funds to house neighbors, feed families and preserve culture.

Everybody Solar turns sunlight into stability so our partners can focus on what matters most: the people they serve.

Every dollar saved on energy is a dollar returned to the mission.

Whether it’s powering veteran housing at St. Johns Housing Partnership in Florida, providing warm beds at the St. Francis Center in Denver, preserving culture and medicine on sacred Wabanaki land at Nibezun in Maine, or fueling interactive science education at Eugene Science Center in Oregon...

From Maine to Florida, we are turning rooftops into resources. When the bill goes down, the impact goes up.

That’s the power of solar. That’s why we’re here.

It’s not just about clean energy; it’s about capacity. 📈

When organizations switch to solar, they aren’t just going green. They are unlocking funds to better serve their communities.

Just look at the impact across our recent projects:

One Spirit Wakpamni

Solar will power the first laundromat in the district, saving families miles of travel and restoring dignity.

Harry Tompson Center (New Orleans)

A shared-benefit array lowers costs for three nonprofits under one roof, freeing up resources for showers, meals and housing support.

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Niagara County

Savings from their new array will be reinvested directly into agricultural education and community programs.

Covenant House in West Virginia

Stable energy costs mean more beds and meals for people facing homelessness.

Solar transforms fixed costs into lasting community impact!

Harry Tompson Center solar project is now in the installation phase!

This 42.53 kW array will power a collaborative shelter in New Orleans serving 200+ people daily.

By cutting energy costs by ~40%, we’re helping Harry Tompson Center, Lantern Light Ministry and Depaul USA redirect every saved dollar toward hygiene, health and housing services.

A new report by Generation180 reveals a powerful shift: nearly 1 in 7 American K-12 students now attends a school powered by the sun.

While the national average is rising, at Everybody Solar, we’re ensuring that every nonprofit, from education centers to family shelters and health clinics, has a seat at the table.

We are proud to say that The Lorge School in NYC is now part of this growing movement! ✅ 37.26 kW of clean energy installed.
✅ 40,525 kWh generated annually.
✅ Countless dollars saved on bills and redirected to support students with learning differences.

As the report highlights, school solar isn’t just about energy; it’s about resilience, savings, and education. For Lorge School, this array is a living laboratory, teaching students about sustainability while securing their financial future for decades.
