We aim to improve our communities by giving the gift of clean energy to organizations that need it most; non-profits on the front lines, serving our most vulnerable populations. By eliminating electricity costs for non-profits we help them maximize their impac

t on their direct cause. With our help, these organizations are able to invest funds directly into their missions: to feed children, provide counseling, support a shelter, or start a movement. By saving thousands of dollars for those who need it most, and harnessing the power of the sun, we help local communities thrive. We believe that everyone has the right to affordable energy and clean air. Everybody Solar is a nonprofit public benefit corporation, incorporated in the state of California.

For three decades, Covenant House Charleston has been a steadfast resource for individuals facing homelessness in West Virginia. But even the most dedicated organizations face the burden of rising energy costs. ⚡📉

That’s why we partnered to install a 27.84 kW solar system on their roof.

The numbers speak for themselves:
💸 $86,525 saved over the system’s life.
🌱 62,000+ lbs of carbon emissions prevented every year.
🍽️ Countless meals and beds funded by those savings.

This isn’t just about going green; it’s about ensuring that when someone walks through their doors, the resources are there to help them. From emergency shelter to long-term stability, solar is helping them keep their promise to the community. 💛☀️

From the smallest town in Maine to the bustling streets of New Orleans, nonprofits are the heartbeat of our society.

They are the first to arrive when disaster strikes and the last to leave when the funding runs dry. They feed the hungry, house the homeless, teach our youth, protect our environment, and care for our elders.

Why does this matter?
Because without them:
🚫 Vulnerable neighbors would fall through the cracks.
🚫 Communities would lose their voice and their resilience.
🚫 The gap between "having enough" and "going without" would become impossible to cross.

In 2025, we proudly partnered with Cottonwood Gulch again to install a 5.85 kW solar array and an EV charging station, helping this New Mexico educational non-profit reduce costs and carbon emissions while inspiring future generations.

This year alone, we completed 4 major installations that now serve over 11,000 people annually. Whether it’s providing safe shelter for youth at Covenant House or ensuring Habitat for Humanity can build more homes with the money saved on electric bills, every panel counts.

We also extended our reach to Kentucky, donating modules to a critical emergency shelter serving the Cumberland Valley region. 🏠💛

But we didn’t stop there. Since our founding in 2012, together we have:
✅ Completed 35 projects across 16 states.
✅ Generated $2.7 million in lifetime savings for our partners.
✅ Impacted over 2.1 million lives.

Pollution doesn’t affect everyone equally. 🌍

The communities that Everybody Solar serves - those relying on shelters, food banks, and youth programs - are often the most impacted by environmental hazards, including plastic pollution.

When we participate in Plastic Free July, we aren’t just picking up trash; we’re advocating for the health of our neighbors.

🔹 Less plastic means cleaner local water sources.
🔹 Less waste means healthier streets and parks for children to play in.
🔹 A cleaner environment means reduced health burdens on vulnerable families.

Our solar panels lower the electric bill so nonprofits can buy more food. Reducing plastic helps keep the world those families live in safe and healthy.

The first and only laundromat in the Wakpamni District is built, but it needs the sun to truly shine. ☀️

For nearly 6,000 residents on the Pine Ridge Reservation, this facility is more than just a place to wash clothes; it’s a hub for health, dignity, and youth connection. But to keep this vital service affordable and reliable for the long term, it needs clean energy.

Everybody Solar is currently fundraising to install a custom 18 kW solar array that will power this community lifeline.

"Plastic Free July" might have a date on the calendar but environmental stewardship is a 365-day commitment.

At Everybody Solar, we work every day to reduce carbon emissions through solar installations for nonprofits. But we know that fighting climate change means fighting all forms of pollution.

Plastic waste harms the soil, chokes our waterways and impacts the health of the vulnerable populations our partners serve.

You cannot separate the air we breathe from the water we drink or the ground we walk on.
