From the point of view of progressive activists, Bernie Sanders has been significantly less than heroic in his votes on war-related issues: Israel's attack on Gaza, military spending, the F-35 "Fiasco" Fighter, and more. His candidacy worries many in the Corporatocracy in its potential to inspire public outrage at economic inequality, but "defense industry" firms are probably not losing much sleep over it.
More important is the delusion that the American people's interests can be served by simply voting for a political Savior. This is an extraordinarily effective Power-Serving Fiction (PSF), an essential Lie covering up a critical Taboo Truth: Politicians do the right thing only when the public gets out in the streets and demands it.
