San Francisco, meet your 🚲 2026 BIKE CHAMPION 🚲 Molly Hayden ()! Molly is a longtime SFBike member who leads Bike Buses at local schools and stewards car-free spaces like Page Slow Street and Sunset Dunes, and brings joy and connection everywhere she rolls. ☀️

Head to our link in bio to read about Molly’s relationship to biking, and how she encourages everyone around her to experience life on two wheels. And make sure you say hi the next time you see her rolling past on Bike to Wherever Day (and every day!)

The future of Sunday Streets is under threat, and we need all hands on deck to turn out in support of this incredible program‼️

For the past 17 years, Sunday Streets has reclaimed our streets for people-first activations that foster community, joy, and connectedness. The program has also provided SFBike car-free spaces for us to host free bicycle education and pop-up bike repair all over the city where we have taught hundreds of participants how to ride bikes on car-free streets.

Defunding Sunday streets affects us all for the worst, taking away opportunities to experience car-free public spaces, uplift thriving local businesses, and showcase the rich art and culture our city and communities have to offer.

Help us defend this priceless program. Show up to the rally on Tuesday and plan to make a public comment either in person or via phone call.

🖼️ Calling local artists! Do you have finished pieces that you’d like to contribute to our art auction at Winterfest this year? Donated works of art help our work in making cycling safer and more enjoyable for everyone. We’re looking for ready-to-hang (or display!) artwork in any medium or subject, but bike-related or themed artwork is especially welcome.

🎨 Artists receive complimentary tickets to Winterfest on November 2 and one year membership to SFBike with our thanks! Artists may opt to donate 100% of proceeds of sales of their art, or may receive a 20% share of the sale price. The submission deadline is October 15, visit the link in our bio to submit yours!

We 🧡 our volunteers! From bike valet, to Bike to Wherever Day, to wrenching on bikes, our volunteers power our work. We got to celebrate them last week with a picnic in the park, gloomy SF style 🌁

To no ones surprise, SFBike went on a bike ride 😁 market street edition!

SFBike and the Keep Market Street Moving alliance both support a thriving and people-first downtown. We know people and foot traffic is what's going to bring downtown back, and revitalizing the corridor means people-first spaces and activations, as well as safe and sustainable ways to get there.

That’s why we have serious concerns about the Mayor’s pilot to put Uber, Lyft, and Waymo on car-free Market Street for the next year – because vehicle traffic puts a thriving Market Street in danger and doesn’t bring foot traffic, which we know we need.

Check out the , the Farmers Market, , and so many other wonderful local businesses next time you’re down here! If you’re on bike, go the extra mile by bringing your helmet in and letting staff at these businesses know you got there by bike!
