I HAD A VERY INTERESTING BUT ALL TOO COMMON CONVERSATION THIS LAST WEEKEND!

This past weekend I got a call from a very small, emerging Artist who was worried that people won't like her work. I get it, and told her that Art is always going to find a Viewer and a Buyer. Just like your talent and expertise or personality may not always resonate with a potential employer.

Sometimes we may not resonate with everyone, but the reason I do these monthly Festivals and our Networking events is to support people just like this. To give them a safe and inviting space to showcase their talent, to have a conversation about FEAR or DOUBT. If you are an Artist come and vend with us, if you are an Art lover, come and support our talented Creators each month!

Now if you want to meet some amazing people and Network, come to our Monday night Networking events! Let us help you meet some amazing folks, find your next job or career, and learn why the way you have been Networking for years now may no longer work.

Our next events will be September 6, 7 and 8th here at The Box SF in San Francisco!

First up, our FREE Artist and Makers Fair on September 6th from 11am to 5pm and September 7th from 11am to 4pm!

Last month we had 35 Vendors and over 600 Shoppers and we expect September to be even busier!

After the weekend fair, Monday night at 6pm will be the September edition of The Art of Active Networking and since my Birthday is Tuesday the 9th, perhaps we'll do a little sumthin sumthin!

About the events:

These monthly events span two days: Saturday - Sunday Art Sale with FREE public entry, and an optional ticketed Monday evening "Art of Active Networking" events that follow our art fairs each month!

Vendors may reserve table space at The Art of Active Networking event on the following Monday’s for $50. TABLES ARE LIMITED for this event, but any artist participating at the weekend fair can leave their items and sell to attendees at the Monday night event which will always follow the Weekend Art Fairs here.

The store on our ground floor remains open!

Due to a issue with our 100 year old elevator, we are having to cancel this months events. This repair is going to take about 10 days, BUT we are all good for our September events!

WE ALL STRUGGLE, AND LIKE MOST OF YOU MINE CONTINUES TOMORROW MORNING, THEN WE HAVE 3 BIG EVENTS IN A ROW HERE AT THE BOX SF!

Monday, tomorrow morning at 5am I go in for my 4th major Foot Surgery and am hoping this is the last one!!!! Fingers errr Toes Crossed. But...I will not be daunted, and I am committed to having The Art of Active Networking here at The Box SF on Monday July 14th at 6pm! This weekend at TheBoxSF.com is our FREE Monthly Art and Maker Fair with 30 talented Vendors. Hours are 11am to 5pm Saturday and 11am to 4pm Sunday.
