And so it begins for Tanara Martin who has just been diagnosed with adenoid cystic carcinoma in the lung.

And I stand on the shoulders of warriors who sat here before me—the fighters, the survivors, the ones who refused to give up. Your strength lives here too.

I am so thankful for my 'Earth Angels.' Y’all have truly been showing out—every call, every message, every prayer, the food train, the gift cards, the wake-up call… just all the love. Please keep me in that prayer wheel. You pray for me, and I will pray for you.

Saturday, April 11, 2026 is just around the corner!
Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma Research Foundation is hosting a day of community and education at the 2026 ACCRF Patient Meeting.
This unique, in-person event provides a forum for ACC patients to meet, discuss their journeys, and hear about the latest research and treatment options.

This year's event will feature a special presentation by ACCRF grantee Dr. Glenn Hanna (Dana Farber Cancer Institute) discussing clinical trials and current treatment options.

You may know Sonya, also known as the GlossectomyGirl - Superhero of epic proportions!
Lets send Sonya lots of warm wishes as she recovers from surgery due to a local recurrence of adenoid cystic carcinoma.

Back in 2022, Sonya had surgery to remove her tongue and larynx, which would treat her cancer but leave her unable to use her voice. Before the surgery, Sonya recorded herself reading her daughters’ favorite childhood books, hoping that one day she could play the recordings for future grandchildren. The recordings led to her discovery of voice banking and cloning, and she began recording herself daily.
Thanks to a voice banking company and app, she began using the cloned version of her voice for everyday speech.

But she didn't stop there...She built a website (www.voicebanknow.com) to help others, became a Head and Neck Cancer Alliance ambassador to help others who have lost their voices,

We know that her current challenges won't stop her from charging on.

Sonya...there is a hero in all of us!

We agree that you won't find anyone like Kamden Krull but it's not because she was diagnosed with adenoid cystic carcinoma (or that she doesn't have six fingers).

At nineteen, Kamden was diagnosed with adenoid cystic carcinoma and from there, her mission was to help others. She started a blog about her cancer journey, fears and breakthroughs and people joined. Kamden wants to change the conversation about cancer from fear to strength, community and possibility.

Now at 21 years old, Kamden hasn't stopped....from fundraising, podcasting, entrepreneurship and public speaking. We can't wait to see what's next. Learn more about Kamden and her journey here https://kamchow.com
