Thank you Samoan Wellness Initiative for spotlighting our Chief of Operations!

Sylvia Mammasyl Selinger Tauala take your flowers Mamma!

For this week's Women's History Spotlight Post, we'd like to introduce Sylvia Selinger Tauala, more affectionately known in community as Mammasyl 🌺

Mammasyl is the Chief of Operations for Fa’atasi Youth Services, a nonprofit organization based in San Francisco that aims to lower the obesity rate among Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander folk. She also works in the criminal justice field as a Probation Specialist for the Pretrial Unit of Alameda County Probation.

Within her roles, Mammasyl hopes to leave a legacy of compassion, empowerment, and service; a legacy where “youth feel supported, families feel strengthened, and the community uplifts one another for generations to come” 🙌🏽

Much love to you, Mammasyl, for your continued efforts into the communities you serve 💐

Nani Wilson
She could always be found at a community event - either tabling or speaking life into someone, young or old. She was known for her beautiful red lipstick, often leaving her loving impression on the cheeks of those she cherished.

Her life was a testament to family, community, laughter, and unconditional love.

We will never forget you. We love you deeply.

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” - Matthew 5:4
