Welcome to the CONCEPT series first Guest Curator, Jocelyn Reyes!

We’re excited for Jocelyn to bring a fresh perspective to the series, adding her spin to CONCEPT’s celebration of the diversity of the Bay Area contemporary dance scene.

You may recognize Jocelyn not only as a very active member of the Bay Area dance community, as the founder and director of REYES Dance and the brains behind Dance Thrill Fest, but also as one of RAWdance’s pilot Radiate Fellows and a past CONCEPT series: Digital Edition artist. Be a part of the 3rd cohort of our Radiate Fellowship program — an 18-month paid opportunity supporting early-career dance artists as they pursue their own journeys and goals (artistic, administrative, activist, and any permutation in between) by expanding resources, emphasizing relationship building, and providing a mindful structure for explorations and discovery. Thank you to everyone who came to last weekend’s CONCEPT series salon at the Senate Garage! It was a wonderful, warm and energetic, series of performances. The CONCEPT series: Hudson Valley Edition is one week out! FYI, we don’t include all of the seats on Eventbrite, we always reserve additional spots for walk-ups. So don’t hesitate to show up at the door if you see “sold out”! … We say that because Friday night is already full online! It’s lovely to feel that there’s such an appetite for contemporary dance in the Kingston area and we’re looking forward to sharing the various explorations of these local artists. 🥰
