Panel pals is inspired by the former SF comics meetup Sketchies, which followed a similar format. Julia and Phoebe were both fans of Sketchies and have missed being able to draw alongside peers…so we are hoping to bring back that opportunity with Panel Pals!

Gather with us on a drop-in basis for an evening of casual comic drawing! Participants are invited to create a 1-page comic following this month’s theme: REBIRTH. All comics will be scanned and shared with attendees as a digital zine.

All drawing levels welcome. Bring a pen, we’ll have paper!

Got something torn, stained, or long forgotten in the back of your closet? ❤️‍🩹

We’re talking about the jeans with the gnarly knee hole, the once-beloved tote with a mystery stain, or that piece you almost donated because it “just needs a little work.”

Now’s your chance to give it a second life!

Join us next Wednesday, February 25, from 6–8pm for an Upcycling & Mending Workshop.

We’ll have scrap fabrics and sewing tools available, and our instructors will guide you through the best way to repair or reimagine your piece.

We encourage you to bring your own supplies if you have a specific vision in mind.

Please note: this workshop is for people who want to be the one mending and sewing. Our instructors will be here to help you as needed.

Start the new year off right with a new hobby, or refine your expertise. Sketching social is for everyone. Bring your own supplies and hang out for free, or pay a small fee for introductory instruction and supplies. This is your time to work, meet other artists, and have a good time 😃

Intro To Soldering is reigning in the new year! Come learn how to do through hole solder joints, a basic skill that you can leverage in infinite ways. Repair your stuff, build new stuff, the world is your oyster (as long as it’s a mechanical oyster made of circuit boards).

We’re sneaking in one more printmaking social before the end of the year!
