San Francisco Women Against R**e (SFWAR) is a community-based, anti-sexual assault, social justice organization. We provide support to sexual assault survivors, their families, and communities, and use education and community organizing as tools of prevention. We believe that ending all forms of oppression is integral to ending sexual assault and challenge oppression within our organization and co

mmunities. We are a women of color-led organization and prioritize working with and for communities facing multiple forms of oppression.

RECLAIMING! Creative Arts Support Group for Survivors of Sexual Assault

San Francisco Women Against R**e invites survivors to explore storytelling and creative expression through three days of hands-on art making. Participants will work alongside a team of visual artists using professional photography equipment, rubber-stamp carving, block printing, and other creative techniques.

No previous art experience is necessary. The group will meet in person in San Francisco, and space is limited to 10 participants.

Workshop dates:
August 13, 2026, 6–9 p.m. — Storytelling
August 14, 2026, 5–9 p.m. — Photography
August 15, 2026, 10 a.m.–2 p.m. — Block Printing

A limited number of $150 participation stipends are available to people accepted into the group, with priority given to participants age 24 and under.
