Many community members have asked how they can help support Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe members impacted by the Stallion Fire. We’ve put together a BWB project page with information about current needs and ways our community can show up and support our neighbors in Nixon and Sutcliffe.

🤝 BWB + Rotary International: Turning Connection Into Community Action

What happens when two global networks built around service and community come together?

Across the Burners Without Borders network, BWB Chapters are already working alongside local Rotary clubs—building relationshipscand finding new ways to serve their communities.

And we’re just getting started.

🏫 Join us in Gerlach, Nevada: BWB and Rotary are teaming up for a hands-on community project at the Gerlach K–12 School, and there will be opportunities to participate.

🌎 Connect from anywhere: Join an upcoming online conversation to meet others interested in strengthening connections between Burners Without Borders and Rotary.

📍 Build something locally: Are you involved with BWB or Rotary and interested in bringing the two communities together where you live?

From Unlikely Partners to Emerging Collaborators In 2017, Rotarian John Paul “Sputnik” left an on-playa Rotary meeting and rode his bike across Black Rock City to introduce himself to Burners Without Borders. He saw the overlap between Rotary’s century of service work and what BWB was building...

🚨 Grant Alert 🚨 Announcing the Green Regionals Grant!
This grant provides $30,000 for projects (up to $10,000 per project) that help Regional Burning Man Events become more sustainable, regenerative, and resilient. We're looking for projects that are creative and innovative, but more importantly, are worth replicating.

Imagine, being able to provide communities, events, and humanitarian efforts with a guide to create a greywater recycling system that fits in a tote bin, a solar system that can power an air conditioner, or art that can bring lighting in off-grid places. The broader goal here is the extend the impact of Burning Man, beyond Black Rock City and into the world!

This grant is funded by the philanthropic support of generous donors from across the global Burning Man network. We're honored to be able to steward this grant and scale the impact of the donations.

DEADLINE is September 27, 2026. Awarded grantees will be announced at the end of October, so that recipients can implement their projects for the 2027 event season.
