A year after Burners Without Borders Brazil helped build a community bathroom in a Pataxó village, the impact continues to grow. The community has since hosted traditional ceremonies, expanded food-growing efforts, and established an officially recognized cultural center.

Earlier this month Burners Without Borders Vancouver joined the global Darkness Into Light walk led by David Cawley and the DIL team. 💛

This very special morning involved a 5km walk that begins at 4.00AM, where participants walk from darkness into the morning light in the name of mental health and su***de prevention.

Burners Without Borders Vancouver raised $300 in support of the Crisis Intervention and Su***de Prevention Centre of BC.

Every step and every contribution helps support this important work. 🌅

Congratulations to Host Art Workshops for Refugee Children and The Mobile Dignity Shower Project, winners of the 2026 European Leadership Summit (ELS) Civic Ignition Grant!

Host Art Workshops for Refugee Children creates space for refugee youth in Athens, Greece to express themselves through art while also earning income from their work, turning creativity into both healing and empowerment.

The Mobile Dignity Shower Project brings rapid-response, mobile shower systems to displaced communities in Dunkirk, France, restoring dignity and access to basic hygiene through a design that can be quickly deployed and relocated as needed.
