Last week, some of our SFPAL youth had the incredible opportunity to participate in Hoops with the Troops, a special Fleet Week event that combined basketball, learning, and a truly unforgettable experience!

Our kids got to sharpen their ball-handling skills on the court before heading aboard a U.S. Navy vessel for a unique tour, learning more about the Navy and the men and women who serve our country.

A HUGE thank you to The Olympic Club for organizing this wonderful event and to the Archbishop Riordan High School Basketball Team for supporting our young athletes and making the experience even more memorable!

A special shoutout to the Academy of Art University for generously providing transportation to and from the event, helping make this opportunity possible for our kids!

At SFPAL, we believe some of the most valuable experiences happen beyond the playing field. It’s about opening doors, creating opportunities, and exposing our youth to experiences they might not otherwise have.

Thank you for inviting us to be part of this incredible event once again! We are grateful for the continued partnership and the opportunity to create lasting memories for our youth. We’re already looking forward to next year! 💙

Another great night of training for our SFPAL Cadets!

Week after week, these young leaders continue to show up ready to learn, work hard, and challenge themselves. We couldn’t be more proud of their commitment to the program and to their own growth.

Every training night is another opportunity to build discipline, confidence, leadership, and teamwork. Skills that will carry them far beyond the program.

Keep showing up. Keep learning. Keep leading.

The future is bright with these young leaders!

You know a program has made an impact when former players keep coming back.

Over the past few weeks, several former SFPAL football players have returned to practices and games to support and encourage the next generation of SFPAL 49ers.

Now playing at the high school level, they haven’t forgotten where it started, or the coaches, teammates, and community that helped them along the way.

That’s what SFPAL is all about. More than football. It’s growing up together, building confidence, creating a sense of belonging, and inspiring our kids to one day come back and lift up the next generation.

The jerseys may change, but the connection remains.

Last week marked the final night of our Jiu-Jitsu program at the SFPD Academy, and it was a special opportunity to celebrate our young athletes and recognize some of the people who have made this program possible.

We were proud to honor and thank Captain Wilhelm for his continued support of SFPAL and for opening the doors of the SFPD Academy to so many of our programs. Having a space where our youth can learn, grow, and build positive relationships with members of the SFPD means so much to our organization.

A huge shoutout also goes to our longtime instructor, Dante Giovannelli, for his continued dedication to PAL and for helping bring Jiu-Jitsu back to our youth. Dante’s commitment, patience, and passion have helped make this program such a great experience for our kids.

While this was our final night at the Academy, it is definitely not the end of SFPAL Jiu-Jitsu! We are excited for the next chapter of the program and can’t wait to see our young athletes continue learning, challenging themselves, and building confidence on the mat.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this chapter so special!

Our SFPAL 49ers played their first home games of the season this past weekend, and our teams came ready!
Our players looked sharp, played hard, and represented SFPAL with pride both on and off the field. It was great to see the hard work they’ve been putting in at practice come together on game day.

A huge shoutout to our coaches for the time, energy, and leadership they continue to pour into these young athletes, and thank you to all of our families and supporters who came out to cheer them on!

We’re proud of the way our teams continue to work, compete, and represent!

For more than 35 years, San Francisco Giants legend Mike Krukow has been a dedicated supporter of the San Francisco Police Activities League, helping us make a difference in the lives of San Francisco youth.

We had the incredible honor of recognizing Mike for his decades of service and presenting him with an honorary SFPAL award.

Mike’s longstanding commitment to our organization and the youth we serve means more than words can express.

Thank you, Mike, for being part of the PAL family for more than three decades. We are so grateful for everything you have done and continue to do for our kids!

Our CrossFit Kids were putting in the work this week, focusing on core stability, strength, and control with hollow holds and snatches!

It’s great to see our young athletes learning proper technique, challenging themselves, and getting stronger with every session.

A big shoutout to our amazing coaches for keeping our kids motivated, teaching them the right techniques, and encouraging them every step of the way!

Keep up the great work!
