⁨⁨In the light of many protests happening across India, we stand in support and solidarity with various groups protesting and facing state violence and police brutality.

We demand accountability from the Indian Government on its violent actions towards protestors across the country.

This call to end violence is rooted in collective liberation and rights of all including students, farmers, indigenous people, queer-trans individuals, political prisoners, caste-oppressed, religious and ethnic minority groups that continuously face systemic brutality.⁩

🍉 Support ASATA’s Ride for Palestine fundraiser for MECA! 🚲

Last Sunday, ASATA community members joined the 5th annual Ride for Palestine, MECA’s annual fundraiser supporting its projects for children and families in Palestine and refugee camps in Lebanon. The day brought people together for a 14-mile Bay ride and a post-ride gathering with food, performances, and speakers. (And world cup)

The ride may be over, but fundraising continues. If you’re able, please donate to ASATA’s team to support the Middle East Children’s Alliance’s vital work:

Every contribution helps. Please donate and share widely. 🇵🇸

⁩ ⁨THIS SUNDAY!

⁨Brown Thumbs will be showcasing how connection to land and farming manifests in the artistic and sociocultural identities of Punjabi and Mexican communities– how this common ground has historically created solidarity between these cultures, and how this relationship manifests today. Through a panel, performances, and a community art activation we aim to honor these intersecting histories, and build collective power as a means to resist division and threats to safety in contemporary times.

This event is a call to action and a fundraiser, with the majority of the proceeds going towards De Sol a Sol Collective, an Indigenous-led mutual aid group supporting undocumented farmworkers impacted by ICE.

📢 1 in 8 South Asians are undocumented.
ICE raids don’t just target one community; they target all of us.
ASATA is currently supporting a mutual aid fund to protect immigration communities, including South Asians, impacted by ICE violence. Together, we can offer direct support, rapid response, and collective safety.
💸 Give $25–$100 to help us reach our $10K goal.
🫶🏽 Every dollar keeps our communities safe and resourced.
